From now until Saturday morning, our police shifts will be covered by outside agencies so our officers can attend the funeral services of Officer Estrada and Sergeant Sorensen. You will see officers from all over the state over the next few days. We express our appreciation to them!

There's still time to add your message of support or even just your name to the banner. After the fair parade last night, we brought the banner back to City Hall. There's still space for signatures! We will keep it out for a few more days and then bring it to Tremonton when we have our community barbecue. Stay tuned for the details of that event.

I spy with my little eye… brand new cornhole boards!

You’ll find them set up right next to the Recreation Office, and they’re open to the public to use anytime. While we don’t have bags available to borrow just yet, feel free to bring your own and get a game going!

These awesome boards were made possible thanks to our Promotional Space Advertisers and some amazing local cornhole players in the community. Big thanks to them for making it happen!

Like so many of you, we are reeling from the news of what occurred in Tremonton last night. Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of the officers who were killed, as well as the deputy and K9 who were wounded. We pray for their full and speedy recovery.

It is never easy for any community to face tragedies like this, and while this didn’t happen in Brigham City, many of us have close ties to Tremonton and we feel the loss deeply. These officers are known to our officers and we have worked with them closely. We will work to honor and remember their dedication to their communities and their ultimate sacrifice.

We invite all Brigham City residents to join us in support of our friends in Tremonton.

Signed,
Mayor DJ Bott
Police Chief Chad Reyes
Fire Chief Brandon Thueson

Anyone desiring to set up a retail booth outside of the designated Peach Days T-Zone may submit an application for a temporary business license at: https://www.bcutah.gov/o/brighamcity/page/business-license-applications-and-forms. The proposed booth must be located on the pavement/parking lot of a commercial property. It cannot be on or blocking the sidewalk or in the street.

Requirements: a completed application, a letter of permission from the property owner, and a simple drawing of how and where your booth will be set up on that property. If you are a mobile food vendor, we will also need a copy of your Business License, Health Department permit and annual fire inspection report.

Contact: Christina Boss, Business Licensing @ 435-730-7132 or cboss@bcutah.gov.

We will NOT accept any applications after August 21.
