The Animal Shelter will open at 3:00 today so the staff can attend an animal control association meeting.

The snow started not too long ago, but it is already creating some dangerous driving conditions. Be safe out there, and remember to avoid parking on the street until 24 hours after the snow stops falling. Main Street between 200 South and 100 North is exempt during business hours, and so is the area around the high school during school hours. Overnight parking restrictions are also in effect until March 15.

City Offices will be closed Monday, February 19, for President's Day. Garbage pickup for Monday residents will be delayed until Tuesday.

Water levels in the creek will continue to run high for the next few days. We are pulling the level of the reservoir down to accommodate all the water in the mountains. (And all that is still falling!) If you have questions, contact Public Works at 435-734-6615. (Obligatory heart on the photo because it's Valentine's Day and because we love having water in the mountains but we especially love it when we can avoid flooding.)

Residents along the creek will see higher water levels as we begin pulling water from Mantua Reservoir in preparation for this year's snowpack.
Yes, we know the runoff is still a few months away. But last year at this time, the reservoir was very low, leaving plenty of space for runoff. This year, it's full! With the recent and upcoming snow, it's time to draw the water level down.
Please contact Public Works with any questions. 435-734-6615

A portion of American Way will be closed beginning Tuesday, January 30, at 6:30am through Thursday, February 1 at 5:00pm in order for crews to complete electrical utility work.
The hard closure will be between Forest Street and 600 North. A hard closure means there will be no access at all. The street will remain during all hours during this timeframe.
Autoliv can still be accessed from Forest Street or 1200 West. Please refer any questions to Brigham City Public Power offices at (435) 734-6624.
