Rural Utah at a Crossroads | 2023-2024 Utah tour of the Smithsonian exhibition CROSSROADS: CHANGE IN RURAL AMERICA
CROSSROADS: CHANGE IN RURAL AMERICA is a traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution's Museum on Main Street program that provokes fresh thinking and sparks conversations about the future and sustainability of rural communities. At a time when much of rural Utah is reinventing itself, Crossroads offers a chance to look at our own paths over the past century – to highlight changes that affected our fortunes, explore how we've adapted, and think about what's next. This project is presented by Utah Humanities and its statewide partners.
The Crossroads: Changes in Rural America Exhibit will be on display at the Brigham City Museum from May 4th to Jun 22nd, 2024

Cemetery crews begin preparation for Memorial Day the Monday prior to the holiday. Preparations including mowing, trimming and weeding usually take the entire week to complete. Sprinkler irrigation is stopped from Friday afternoon through the end of Memorial Day to allow for the placement of decorations. Flower regulations as listed above will be strictly enforced.
The Cemetery office will be staffed on Memorial Day from 9am to 1pm to assist the public in finding graves. Due to heavy office traffic on these days, Cemetery staff will not be able to assist in family genealogy.
Cemetery cleanup will begin the Monday morning following Memorial Day. Anyone desirous of picking up their wreaths or decorations should do so prior to that Monday.
When the cleanup sweep is done all decorations that are removed are taken to the county landfill for disposal. Those wishing to reclaim their decoration are encouraged to do so prior to the cleanup.
REMOVING DECORATIONS FROM PLOTS BELONGING TO OTHERS IS CONSIDERED THEFT OF PROPERTY AND IS PUNISHABLE UNDER LAW AS A CLASS B MISDEMEANOR.
