
Citizen Corps Council
What is the Citizen Corps Council?
The Citizen Corps Council (CCC) is a subsidiary of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and is made up of community volunteers acting under the supervision of the community Emergency Management Director. The CCC is part of a national network of state, local and tribal Citizen Corps Councils.
Training
There is a specific training structure within the Citizen Corps Council.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee of the CCC meets monthly to discuss the needs of citizens, works through church organizations to coordinate training, sponsors community preparedness events and coordinates and oversees the initiatives of the Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS/COPS), Citizen Emergency Response Team (CERT), Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) and Amateur Radio (ARES).
